We are grateful for the family of folks who are helping to create a vibrant BHP through their generous gifts.
Gifts of any amount are sincerely appreciated.
Gifts will fund 2012 initiatives to improve the campus and offset expenses in addition to earned revenues to keep the BHP strong.
See our 2011 Progress Report here.
We are raising funds this year for the following projects + operations:
(1) SD National Guard build of Costume/Paint Shop (raise dollars for materials--est. $80K)
(2) Job Corps project siding of Barber Shop (Scene Shop) and roofing of dorms ($8000 already donated)
(3) Installation of fly system in theatre ($25,000) A fly system, flying system or theatrical rigging system, is a system of lines (e.g. ropes), blocks (pulleys), counterweights and related devices within a theatre that enables a stage crew to quickly, quietly and safely fly (hoist) components such as curtains, lights, scenery, stage effects and, sometimes, people (e.g. Peter Pan). Systems are typically designed to fly components between clear view of the audience and out of view, into the large opening, fly loft, above the stage.
(4) Stage draperies ($25,000) BHPAA 2012 project
